Job Description: JOB PURPOSE:

The job exists to contribute to the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational objectives by effectively planning, directing, and co-ordinating the Operations of the Rotational Moulding Plant ( Roto).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Develop and execute production and maintenance plans to ensure targets for production tonnage and operating cost are met through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital

2.Manage, oversee and improve throughput, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and cost performance of the plant from local materials procurement, to manufacturing operations, to warehousing & logistics of finished product and delivery to customer sites.

3.Manage product quality to ensure customer expectations of the product are met and exceeded in line with business objectives.

4.Plan and manage the use of materials and human resources to ensure that all employees meet their performance objectives and support achievement of the plant’s targets.

5.Cost Management – ensure that the plants’ operations are efficient in terms of using as few resources as needed. These include material cost, weight control, consumption of spares and consumables, power, energy and fuel.

6.Manage materials to ensure that they are ready and available when needed by proactively planning, ensuring that the Raw Material and Finished Goods stores are well managed in the KANBAN Inventory System or other visual

7.Provide immediate and sustainable solutions to important and urgent problems at the plant by applying trouble-shooting, root cause analysis or other efficient problem solving technique.

Key Skills:

QUALIFICATION:

Diploma or Degree in Engineering or plastic technology qualification

EXPERIENCE & EXPOSURE:

The individual must have hard core technical experience in directly achieving plant maintenance, production processing & efficiency, quality standards, quick changeover, etc.

Experience with Pelletisers/Pulverisers, Reinhardt Bi-Axial Roto & 3000lt+ Blow Molded Tanks

Lean management manufacturing tools such as 20 keys, Kaizen, TPM, TQM, Six Sigma
