Letting go and moving on to higher Glory.

Letting go is not always easy. It takes an enormous toll on the psychology and behavior of the person involved. Most a times, we find it difficult to let go of a certain situation, emotion, relationship, job, attitude not because it's profitable but because we are too scared to let go and take the leap of faith.

Most people are too comfortable and "used" to their comfort zone, that it's almost impossible to convince or make them realize that they can as well become successful and find themselves in a better zone.

Are you passing through such situation right now or do you know somebody that is passing through such situation?
Please know that God knows what you are passing through and may as well drag you out of any contract, relationship, job not because he is a wicked God, but because he has special plans for you.

2nd Samuel 12 vs 15 to 20::
15 And Nathan departed unto his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife bare unto David, and it was very sick.
16 David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth.
17 And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.
18 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?
19 But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
20 Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.

God allowed the child to die because David was not prepared to let go. Instead he was willing to even give his life for that of the child.

Without the child dying, there may be no King Solomon who was recorded to be the wisest man to have ever walked the earth.

Without the child dying, the kingdom may have gone to a child borne in sin and who knows what the history of Israel would have been?

Without the child dying, Jesus Christ may not have come through the lineage of David according to his promises to Abraham.....

Next time you find your self in a situation in which God is asking you to let go, be glad because He is bringing better and wonderful things to you.

You can't recieve with a clenched fist...... Open up, and let go.

Shalom

Life Lessons on Video Gaming.

This post aims to point out and explain life lessons to be learnt from playing video games.

Ever since the advent of video games in the 1940's to the production of the first generation gaming consoles between 1972 to 1977, down to the Eight generation in 2012, an increasing number of children and youths and even adults have been drawn into, and most have remained trapped in the wonderful virtual world of gaming.

Whilst lots of people have become addicted to video gaming, many have failed to realize the Life lessons to be learnt from video gaming.

One of my best video games is Mortal Kombat, and my favourite fighter is Noob Saibot(dark warrior). Inasmuch as playing Mortal Kombat helps develop my reflexes, it has also taught me how to stand out in the real world.

Mortal Kombat is a fighting based video game where you select a unique fighter based on its skills to play against the computer or your friends either locally or remotely(online).

While playing, you use diffent button controls to execute either a block(defence) or to execute an attack. Pressing the controls in a particular sequence executes a special combo attack, with diminishes your opponent's "life" thereby earning you a winning point.

NOTES:
1. There is a different combo sequence for each fighter: Most people in life try to imitate what others are doing, forgetting that what works for a particular person may not work for others. Seek to discover your hidden talents and combine them with a personal touch, and I guarantee you that you will achieve explosive results. You were born an original, please don't die a copy.

2. Each fighter has a unique skill. Sub-zero shoots ice, sektor shoots guided missiles, noob Saibot shoots ghost smoke etc. What skill do you have? Have you exploited your skills lately? Just like sub-zero or noob Saibot cannot easily win without shooting ice or ghost smoke, you may also find it difficult to win in the game of life without exploiting your skills.

3. It takes a good player who can handle the game pad or joystick very well to win the game using any selected fighter.
In whose hands are you? Who is controlling you in this game of life?
God is the greatest "gamer" of all times, and as long as you are in his hands, and he is using and controlling your skills and talents in a perfect combination, you will always emerge a winner in the game of life.

I ask again, in whose hands are you?

Cloud computing service - A DropBox perspective.

Sign up screen on my iPad.

Welcome screen on my iPad.

My public folder on my iPad.

My public folder on my Blackberry

This post aims at explaining how to sign up and use a free cloud computing service from Dropbox perspective. There are other free cloud services From Microsoft, Google and even apple. I am only using Dropbox for illustration. (hope you understand *wink*)

For clarity, I will be listing the major steps involved.

1. Goto www.dropbox.com to download the software on your laptop /desktop or goto Blackberry app world to search and download Dropbox to your blackberry or goto apple store to download the Dropbox app to your iPad / iPhone. You can as well download Dropbox to all of your gadgets at once ( after all you,ll be accessing your files from them)
The screen above is from my iPad.

2. Create a free account using your email and any password of your choice (even though you can use your email's password, my advice is : don't use your email's password for security reasons.
The steps involved in creating a free account are very easy compared to Facebook or any email service you are using.

3. You are good to go. Dropbox offers free 2GB data, which is decent if you don't intend loading large files.

To upload any file from your computer, simply drag it to your Dropbox, and it uploads automatically.
Sign in to your Dropbox account from any other device, and you,ll see the files you uploaded. You can then choose to work with it, or send it to your friends or clients.

You can ask questions using the comment button, or add more contribution to this post. Keep watching this site for more info.

Regards.

What is Cloud computing, and how is it Implemented?

Cloud computing seeks to deliver your content on all your mobile devices. It has to do with uploading and access ing your files on the Internet and then sharing them or collaborating on them with others on the Internet.
The term CLOUD simply refers to the Internet.

There are a number of advantages of cloud computing compared to saving your files locally, and these include:

1. Ability to protect your files from local threat like fire, flood, theft, power surges, viruses etc. uploading your files to a password protected cloud service secures and protects your files from these threats.

2. Ability to access those files any where in the world on virtually any device like Smart phones, tablets and computers. With any of these gadgets, you can access all your files remotely and securely.

3. Ability to share your files with others eg. Instead of emailing someone a bunch of videos, pictures or files, you can simply email the link to them. Then can then download Or view them online from the secure cloud service you are using.

DOWNSIDES TO CLOUD COMPUTING
1. Requires Internet connection to work.
2. There's risk associated with data breaches.
3. It can't store data as much as local drives. (unless you pay for larger size)

Some of the current players that offer cloud service are:
1. Microsoft ( skydrive with free 7GB space)
2. Dropbox (with free 2GB space)
3. Apple
4. Google
5. LG

I will be sharing how you can sign up and use a free cloud service in my next post. Please bookmark and keep watching this site.

Do you know any other cloud computing service? You can share with us.

How to become a Successful blogger

Have you ever asked yourself this question : "how do I become a successful blogger?"

or

Maybe you haven't asked yourself that question but instead you are among the countless people that go online everyday to google on how to become successful in blogging.
Personally, I have caught myself doing so too.

The fact that you desire and research and ask this question shows that you already have what it takes to become a successful blogger.

The above picture is worth a thousand words, and it illustrates how to become successful in blogging!

Yea! You guessed right. There is no definite pattern. Just choose what works for you.
You can decide to sit, or lie on your bed to read your favorite book. You can also decide to go under the bed. Whatever works for you is ok.

You can share more illustrations. Someone will definitely learn from it.
Shalom.

How to Overcome and Break the yoke of non blogging.

So I was going through my blogger profile which I opened a while back due to my love for Internet, and what did I see?

"On Blogger since June 2009"

l
Wow! I never knew that I have been signed up on blogger for two years plus, and guess what? I have not posted much content on my blog because I have been procrastinating. Indeed I have been lazy to work on my blog for almost 3 years now.

My testimony is that I finally embraced freedom from non blogging after learning some vital secrets which i'll share with you.

Secret 1: Desire to blog for fun. If you blog for any other reason, you have a high chance of abandoning your blog.

Secret 2: Don't think, just write. Immediately you start thinking about writing, you transcend into non writing. Most great writers don't wait until they are with their favorite notepad and exotic pen before they write. They scribble on anything they see once the inspiration comes.

Secret 3: Blog about your passion. Your field, and what you can never get bored talking about.

Secret 4: Read, visit other blog sites, and ask questions.

You can add more comments on how to overcome the yoke of non blogging. Share your thoughts, let others learn too.
