Mobile Financial Services Product Specialist.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop, commercialize and productize – New, innovative and profitable products and solutions in the mobile banking, money and payment industry for the company.

Develop and execute “Go to Market strategies” for products.

Identify and execute delivery through effective channels for products.

Research and understand the market, key players, trends and growth opportunities and how the company could maximize growth in these areas.

Actively engage with other team members on a regular basis to provide innovative solutions to customer needs and opportunities.

Assess feasibility of opportunities with product management team.

Oversee delivery of projects against budgets, timelines and requirements for internal and external projects.


Monthly Reporting:


Provide accurate and timely feedback and or reporting to management on regular basis.

Provide accurate and timely reports to customers.

Compile accurate reports and forecasts in line with the company’s policies and procedures.

Monitor and report on market and competitor activities for competitive advantage and new opportunities for the company.


Key Requirements:


Degree preferred. 5 years’ experience plus applicable experience in a similar role.


Business development, product development and sales management experience.


General or business unit management experience bonus.


Industry experience in mobile money, mobile payments and mobile banking experience.


Telecoms experience, WASP products and payment products.


The candidate must understand the industry of financial and mobile services.


Must have solid knowledge on mobile payments and banking etc.


Preferable someone with banking background.


Key Skills:


Decision on how to sell the existing services and products through mobile financial service channel.

The benefits of inter-operability as well as the need to partner with a bank to hold the trust account.

Decision on how to convert the registered unbanked customer to bank account holders.

Decisions on marketing communication and timing for such communication

Decision on customers FS needs analysis to aid new product development.

Decision on integrating with a payment service provider as well as an e-coerce platform.

Product life circle management as well as industry trend monitoring to know the appropriate change and when to effect such changes.
